Hammers Abroad #2: Wrapping up the final international break of 2018

And playing for country is now finished until 2019

A quick recap of what happened on Tuesday on, in the West Ham United players on international duty for the last time in 2019:

Marko Arnautovic had a rare bench appearance and not a start for Austria, in their 2-1 big win at Northern Ireland. Arnautovic came in the 71st minuted and finished the match, including providing the assist for the game winning goal by Hertha Berlin exciting prospect Valentino Lozaro.

Lukasz Fabianski was on the bench in Poland’s 1-1 draw with Portugal on Tuesday, as Wojciech Szczesny got the starting goalkeeper’s nod instead.

Fabian Balbuena went the full 90 for Paraguay in their 1-1 friendly draw with South Africa on Tuesday.

As mentioned before, Pedro Obiang made his debut for Equatorial Guinea vs Senegal in 1-0 defeat last Sunday, in CAF African nations Cup qualifying.

Issa Diop was selected to France U-21 team with friendly matches against Croatia and Spain.

Thankfully no one got hurt on international break, as there weren’t a lot of Hammers playing for their countries to deal with.

And we won’t deal with that situation until 2019!
