Two teams that have contributed to Manchester United’s early season woes face off today, as West Ham United travel to the AmEx Stadium to face plucky Brighton Hove & Albion in this Friday night fixture.
The Hammers are in fine form and well behind their August struggles, as their win over United 3-1 last Saturday made it seven points out of their last 9. And with the Manuel Pellegrini era looking like it should always be after the summer signings and already talented team before his arrival, the pensive Chilean didn’t have to ponder too much about his team selection today. The same starting XI from the wonderful home win six days ago is named as expected for West Ham.
To continue this terrific run, the Hammers will need to overcome a Brighton side who defeated them in both matches last season. Chris Hughton’s side has made some changes, but still have its competitive spirit in the team. Ailreza Jahanbakhsh and Glenn Murray will be counted on to score goals, as this still will be a season of trying to survive for them.
Here are the lineups below and enjoy this Friday night context.
