Injuries, Injuries, damn injuries.
It’s the same old damn story of late for West Ham United, as they face Bournemouth today. Both clubs are separated by one point in the Premier League standings and look to provide the excitement they did in their last encounter less than a month ago, an enthralling 3-3 Boxing Day contest draw at the Vitaly Stadium.
Even if we have half the contest that was during the holiday period, then we are in store for a quality contest at the London Stadium. Unfortunately for the Hammers, the unavailability list is once again alarming.
No Andy Carroll, Michail Antonio, Winston Reid, Andre Ayew and of course Jose Fonte. Thankfully Javier Hernandez and Cheikhou Kouyate are back.
Meanwhile for Eddie Howe’s Cherries, only Tyrone Mings and Jermain Defoe are out, as wingers Junior Stanislas and Josh King are available off the bench.
Despite all the injuries, can the Hammers build off the fantastic season sweep of Huddersfield and continue to rise up the table? Or will the performances vs Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup be more of the form today? And will we have another classic drama with Bournemouth?
