The Hammers need a win, we think it will finally happen

West Ham United look for their first points of the season with a visit to St James' Park. Equally Newcastle United have also suffered two consecutive defeats to start the 2017/18 Premier League season.

This is a must win game for the Hammers, this isn’t the season to hover around the relegation zone/ lower mid-table, the absolute minimum expectation is three points.

Without further ado, here are the predictions from the Brace the Hammer gang:

The Kiwi Hammer

I'm going with a 2-1 West Ham win

Wallace Milner

Two teams winless in the league match up, and for the first time West Ham will come in as favorites.

Newcastle have looked poor and Rafa Benitez seems furious with the board.West Ham are coming off their first victory, and even though it was against a lower league team, it should be a big confidence boost.

West Ham 2-1 Newcastle

Trevor Criswell

3-1 to the Irons

Jackson Schmidtke

We get our first win of the season in our third league game, but the back four put in another nervy performance and can't keep a clean sheet. Cresswell excels after his England call up, Kouyate and Obiang continue their strong partnership from last season, Noble dropped from the starting XI.

West Ham 1 - 1 Newcastle

I'm going to predict a 2-1 loss for the Irons. After a sloppy showing in the EFL cup a hungry Newcastle team is going to sneak out a win much like Southampton did. It is dark days for the Hammers.

Chad Hoy

This is going to be a win for West Ham because it absolutely has to be. After the 2-0 win at Cheltenham, I think the Hammers have some confidence and they're going to come out and destroy Newcastle 3-0. Lanzini will be back in the mix and he and Chicharito are going to work together so that we see a Javi hat trick.

Andy Kostka

Newcastle 1-2 West Ham

The Hammers can pick up their first Premier League win against a struggling Newcastle side. Diafra Sakho can prove to be a reliable bench option while Javier Hernandez knows where to position himself in the box to score goals. Despite coming against a League Two side, a clean sheet against Cheltenham is a step in the right direction after conceding seven in the first two league matches.

Geo Mackie

2-1 West Ham

No Lanzini, no party but the little gem is back and I am predicting a party on the Tyne for the away fans.

Vamos

this might be tougher than we think but hopefully with better news on the injury front there will be better news on the field. I think the three points will be due this week !! WHU to win.

Me!

Time to show and prove for Slaven Bilic, we need to win this game and kick start the game, anything else is unacceptable.

I think the League Cup victory will give the boys confidence and allow us to squeeze out a 1-0 victory.
