West Ham United partake in their first domestic cup action of the season, when they face off against fourth tier side Cheltenham United.
Unlike the normal Premier League preview or even FA Cup preview, there will be no roundown on the other side here. Instead, just full Hammers team news.
With Marko Arnautovic’s suspension and Winston Reid’s injury from the Saturday defeat at Southampton, manager Slaven Bilic was forced into obvious changes. So in comes James Collins to make his first start of the season and secure his 200th appearance with the club. Joining the “Ginge “in making his debut to the first XI in the 2017-18 campaign is Diafra Sakho, who has had a promising return to first team action thus far, right back Sam Byram and backup goalkeeper Adrian.
Michail Antonio and Pablo Zabaleta are rested for this fixture, but making a season debut at least on the bench is Cheikhou Kouyate, back from his own injury issue picked up in the preseason. Domingos Quina and new Swedish teen signing Sead Hakšabanovi are also available in the 18.
So will West Ham romp to an expected victory? Or will this shockingly continue what has been a rough start to the season?
