Come watch over, and over, and over, and over again!

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez opens up his account with West Ham United and scores the perfect poacher’s goal. Of course, he’s made a career of being in the right position at the right time, so take nothing away from the goal. West Ham United were trailing 2-0, down to 10 men, when Javier Hernandez stepped into a shot sent soaring towards Fraser Forster by Michail Antonio.

Let’s watch!

The second half picked up where it left off for the Hammers. Down to 10 men, they seemed to show more life than at full strength. Funny how that works.

Chicharito wasn’t done as around the 55th minute, he sent a curler towards the back post that Forster had to anxiously flick out of play. He seemd to be the spark that generated every chance for the Hammers in the second half.

In the 76th minute, Cresswell sent a beauty of a cross towards Diafra Sakho who flicked it onto Fraser Forster. Fraser blocked the initial attempt but of course our man Chicharito was there to make sure the ball splashed the net. Let’s take a look:

West Ham fans can, at the very least, look forward to seeing that kind of finishing from Javier Hernandez all season long. With the brace against Southampton, even in a loss, he proved he will put the ball in the back of the net as long as the chance is there. Now, getting to that point for West Ham is a whole different story. Sure, Hammers found defeat at the end of the 90 minutes at St. Mary’s but, with 10 men, down 2-0, they clawed their way back.

There’s fight in this team, and it starts with Javier Hernandez.
