It had been in the works for weeks. And now, Sofiane Feghouli’s departure from West Ham was made official Tuesday, as the talented winger sealed his move to Super Lig giants Galatasaray.
The Algerian international completed his move to Turkey’s winiest club after rumors swirled around about him exiting the London Stadium at the start of July. Although he vastly improved as the season progressed, Feghouli turned out to be the latest departure of those signed last summer by the Hammers. Simone Zaza, Havard Nordtveit, Alvaro Arbeloa, Gokhan Tore and Jonathan Calleri turned out to be major busts for the club. And now the former Valencia star joins that infamous list.
The former Valencia star midfield announced his move on his Twitter page and then gave a heartfelt goodbye to West Ham fans.

With Feghouli gone and Robert Snodgrass seemingly on his way out, the summer spending for Slaven Bilic and the owning Davids will appear to go on with the season underway. Once full of depth in the winger positions, the Hammers appear to now be bare and will look to add before the window closes.
Andre Ayew, Edimilson Fernandes and Sam Byram remain from last summer’s West Ham additions.
At least Feghouli provided this memorable highlight in his brief, much unexpected short time with the Hammers.

James Milner is still looking for him after that.
