TRANSFER RUMOUR: West Ham linked with Ryad Boudebouz, striking options increase.

Links with Boudebouz? Will we sign another striker?

As of late there has been a lots of rumours flying around as to whether West Ham will sign any more players. For me a couple more additions are needed, most definitely a back up striker as we cannot rely on the injury prone Andy Carroll as proven by last season. A playmaker similar to Dimitri Payet as Robert Snodgrass has not really made an impact since joining and I feel someone needs to take the pressure off Lanzini. Squad depth can only be a positive and if the right player were to become available at the right price then we would have to go for them.

Striker Targets

The main names floating around in regards to that back up striker role are Raul Jimenez, Andre Gray and Moussa Dembele. They are all very talented players for their respective clubs and any one of them joining the Hammers would only be a plus. It speaks volumes that we are linked with such talented players after the dreadful transfer window last summer and we can give our thanks to Bilic and the board for turning it all around, as lets be honest we all thought it was an impossible task! With Fletcher recently leaving for Middlesbrough it seems now the need for another striker is becoming more apparent.

Ryad Boudebouz

Another player that appears to be on the West Ham radar is 27 year old playmaker Ryad Boudebouz. The Algerian international is similar in playing style to the likes of Payet and Mahrez, if we were to sign Boudebouz I’m sure he would excite the fans as he has a certain flair about his play. This season for his current club Montpellier he managed to bag 11 goals and 9 assists which is made all the more impressive considering they were caught in a relegation battle in Ligue 1 ending up finishing 15th. I think Ryad would be a very positive edition to the squad as it would take some pressure off Hammers star man Manuel Lanzini as when he is off the pitch we lack that creative edge.

I think we will make at least one more signing before the end of the summer. It has been a very promising transfer window so far and I trust that Slaven and the board will bring in the right players that will move this club forward. West Ham are a ambitious club, with big plans and everything seems to be going in the right direction.
