Marko Arnautovic

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez

Joe Hart

As Jackson Schmidtke reported earlier...

Arnautović will bring size and pace to the left which should complement Michail Antonio over on the right. Standing 6’3” he’ll also add another large body to an already threatening aerial squad. I can already see Manuel Lanzini whipping in corners and free kicks sending defenses scrambling to mark Arnie, Michail Antonio, Andy Carroll, Kouyate, Winston Reid, Jose Fonte, James Collins, and Pedro Obiang.

Stoke City drove a hard bargain with manager Mark Hughes reluctant to sell the talented Arnautović. However, the deal seemed to be sealed when Arnautovic handed in a transfer request to leave Stoke.

Chicharito is a true poacher and seems to always pop up in the right spot to put pressure on defenders and keepers a like. Hammers fans in the United States know Chicharito well as he’s been the national team’s nemesis for almost a decade now.

He possesses a great first touch and is able to make space for himself to get shots off. He doesn’t have great pace but has enough to sneak in behind defenders and make timely runs. With Michail Antonio and Manuel Lanzini’s runs into the box Chicharito should have a feast of chances next season. He’s a been scorer in the Premier League, Bundesliga, and on the international level in CONCACAF and World Cups. This is truly and exciting signing for the Hammers.
