When you were a kid playing hockey in the street, every time a car would roll through you would have to stop and yell, ‘CAR!’. Then, once the car passed and all was clear, someone else would yell, ‘GAME ON!’. Maybe not the British audience, but surely the Americans do. Something about this Joe Hart story forced that nostalgia on me.

After the constant back and forth, it looks as if Joe Hart’s move to East London could be imminent.

Both Watford and Newcastle were interested in buying the English international, which halted the West Ham loan offer advancement. Clearly those interests have been warded off as rumors have been circulating that Hart is keen on potentially joining West Ham.

Here’s where it gets a bit interesting...

If Joe were to have a successful stint at West Ham United, the Telegraph is reporting there will be an option to buy at the end of the loan period. For me, this is what verifies the speculation; the loan to buy option. Classic Davids’ move.

Hart has had it rough at the City of Manchester Stadium since Pep Guardiola’s arrival. The goalkeeper was forced to spend the 2016/17 season on loan at Serie A’s Torino. While neither City goalie was impressive last season; Hart’s opportunity to re-join the side is effectively over. With Manchester City recently signing Brazilian goalkeeper, Ederson, for £34.7million from Benfica.

Should the deal transpire, there is the obvious question that continues to linger - who sees the door? Adrian or Darren Randolph?
