Contrary to what was reported earlier today, any deal in place for West Ham United to sign goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City has been squashed by an unnamed club, according to Football London.
As we told you earlier, both Watford and Newcastle were both interested in buying England’s number one up front for £18 million, the price tag that put off West Ham in the first place.
Both could potentially be the mystery club in this deal, and could interest the Citizens not having to subsidise his steep wages.
Claret & Hugh are also reporting that the snag was hit in regards to his £120k a week wages, as a source told both themselves and Sam Inkersole that the deal stood only a 10%/15% chance of actually happening, however something could change in the forthcoming days.
We will keep you updated as this story develops, however West Ham couldn’t miss out on another number one target... Could they??
