Not only does West Ham United want Marko Arnautovic (for some reason), but the Stoke City winger wants a move to West Ham. A match made in purgatory.
Marko has made it clear that he wants a move away from his current club, handing in his request recently, but it seems Stoke don’t want to let go of their winger.

The West Ham board are apparently set on making moves that look good, but not moves that will actually help the squad. In isolation, Arnautovic looks like a great signing for West Ham, until one were to take into account that the Hammers already have four wingers.

With Feghouli, Snodgrass, Antonio, and Ayew already on the books, there’s quite the deadlock on the wings. Arnautovic could easily take over Antonio’s spot while Michail is out injured at the beginning of the season, but when the England international makes his way back there will be no use for a £20m winger sitting on the bench every week. It would make sense if West Ham were trying to make a domestic cup run this season, but there’s no way they could really expect that after the fiasco that was the 2016/17 season.

Then Xbox off and resume miserable life as a West Ham fan.
The last thing West Ham needs is another winger or midfielder, yet here the board are making moves for positions that they have in excess. The transfer strategy that West Ham has is a shambles. The Hammers need a godforsaken striker, and the current ones linked aren’t anyone that could put the team over the hump.
No shade at all to Marko as he’s a fantastic player; he is just not the player that West Ham needs. Buy a striker. A STRIKER. That is what this team needs.
