Håvard Nordtveit has signed for German Bundesliga side Hoffenheim for an undisclosed fee (believed to be in the region of £5-£8million), the deal was announced a short while ago on the club website.
The Norwegian midfielder signed for West Ham United last season on a free transfer from Borussia Monchengladbach, he returns to Germany after only a short-spell in the Premier League.
Nordtveit played 21 games in all competitions for the Hammers, after making his debut in the UEFA Europa League match in Ljubljana against NK Domzale last July.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic commented on his departure by saying:
“I would like to thank Havard for his commitment and hard work last season. He is an excellent professional and we wish him all the very best at Hoffenheim."
To echo that sentiment we wish you all the best in Germany, Håvard!
