Staff Predictions - Stoke City v West Ham United

A mixed bag from the writers this week

West Ham travel Stoke City on Saturday hoping to get a win and build upon the team's recent streak of three games undefeated.

With the Hammers' Premier League safety all-but guaranteed this could be a good opportunity for Slaven Bilic to tinker with his lineup. I personally would love to see young Ashley Fletcher given a chance to spearhead the attack, with Andy Carroll missing time again through injury.

Let's get into this week's predictions:

Tom Atherton

2-2

Stoke have struggled the last few weeks, more so than us at times, but I think it'll be honours even at Stoke.

Wallace Milner

West Ham 1-0 Stoke

West Ham showed an impressive defensive solidity last time out, while Stoke collapsed against Swansea. This looks like a great opportunity for a crucial three points.

Jonathan Liebling

West Ham 2 - 1 Stoke

Oh we’re in chaos mode now y’all. Who knows what we’re going to do! We might play 7 in the back and have Adrian start up top. Tactics? Pshaw! Losers always whine about tactics.

Pete Schlenker (HammerPete)

oh wait

Charlie Walsh

Stoke Away' isn't the metaphorical measuring stick it once was and recently they've been rubbish. I love the bloke but when Peter Crouch is your top goalscorer at the ripe age of 36, you're season isn't going amazing. They've scored less in the Premier League than we have for goodness sake.

Having said that, they're front line is essentially a dormant volcano waiting to explode. Will they score? Will we? *shrugs*

3-1 West Ham win.

Makes no sense but, as a wise man once said, I gotta believe!

Chad Hoy

Think we're due for a few goals. I predict that the defense actually does well again and we win 2-0. Long as we keep Shaqiri under control we should be fine.

Andy Kostka

Stoke City 0-1 West Ham

The Hammers defense looked much better last week with wing backs and three center backs. It could lead to another clean sheet against a Stoke side which was held scoreless last week against Swansea. While West Ham still lacked a solid attacking threat last weekend, Diafra Sakho's inclusion as a substitute seemed to ad pressure. If he starts, the Hammers could push one by the Potters for a win.

Me!

Maybe I'm drunk on West Ham's recent unbeaten run, or maybe I'm drunk on the four beers I've drank since lunch, but I predict a glorious West Ham victory. I can just see it now, the Irons of claret and blue turning up to Stoke and playing the liquid Champagne football and securing a fantastic win.

West Ham 2-0 Stoke
