West Ham United is apparently interested in signing Cafu. While he’s getting up in age, it would still be quite the coup to recruit the ex-AC Milan, AS Roma, and Brazil defender. Any player that captained his country to winning a World Cup would be welcome in a West Ham shirt, no matter if he is almost 47 years old. With the lack of depth at right back, if Cafu could dial back the years and patrol the right flank as he did during his 18 year career, being the only player to appear in four World Cups....

What’s that? Oh a DIFFERENT Cafu? Oh, jeez....

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham had scouts attend the Europa League match Thursday in Razgrad, Bulgaria to witness Brazilian Jonathan Cafu play for Ludogorets Razgrad against FC Copenhagen. Joining West Ham scouts were scouts for Everton and Leicester, all allegedly interested in the 25 year-old Brazilian winger who also can line up at striker.

Ludogorets bought Cafu from São Paulo FC in 2015 for 1.9 million pounds, and are reportedly looking to sell him on for 12 million pounds, which seems steep for a player who has scored 20 goals in 56 appearances for the Bulgarian club and zero goals in 11 appearances for São Paulo. He did score a goal against Arsenal in the Champions League Qualifying rounds, but he was unable to help his team against FC Copenhagen, who beat Ludogorets 2-1.
