Injuries

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic acknowledged that Michail Antonio, Sam Byram and Jose Fonte would be out for Saturday’s latest crucial match for his managerial future, when the Hammers host formidable Liverpool at the London Stadium.

In his weekly pre-match press conference on Thursday, Bilic mentioned that both Winston Reid and Aaron Cresswell would be available to face the Reds, following their injury issues before and during the Hammers 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace last weekend.

Predictions

Let’s start off this week’s Brace the Hammer prediction article by saying that West Ham United are capable of beating Liverpool. In the last 6 meetings between the teams, West Ham have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 1.

Furthermore, every time Slaven Bilic is in danger of losing his job, he seems to get out of jail and sneak an ugly win. Perhaps this could be happen on Saturday, it wouldn’t surprise me.

I preface the predictions with these joyful tidbits because it’s pretty grim from here. People are expecting Liverpool to come to London Stadium and rip through West Ham’s team and get a comfortable victory.

For the record I’m predicting a 2-1 Hammers win. Bilic will keep his job and the management situation will grow more tedious than the Ezekiel Elliott suspension court case.
