Poll: What does Slaven Bilic need to do to keep his job

Weigh-in on how many points the Hammers need in October

The win against Swansea prolonged Slaven Bilic’s time in-charge of West Ham United. While the fire has certainly cooled a bit, Bilic is still very much on the hot seat. October’s fixture list has plenty of opportunity for the Hammers to climb the table.

After the debacle at Newcastle I thought it was the right time to fire Slav. The international break provided a great opportunity for a new manager to come in and have time to gel with the squad. Had the Hammers lost or drew against Swansea the last international break would have provided another good time to cut our losses.

The next international break starts on November 6th and with the slate of games we have upcoming the month of October presents a make or break month for Slaven Bilic. The break is the last good opportunity to fire an under performing manager before the season gets completely out of hand come the Christmas period.

The schedule looks like this:

October 14: Burnley away
October 20: Brighton home
October 25: Tottenham away (Carabao Cup)
October 28: Palace away
November 4: Liverpool home

For me we need to take at least five points from the next three league games. Anything less deserves the sack.

What about you how many points do we need to pick up in October for Slave to avoid the sack come the international break?
