Friday Morning’s Cup of Joe Cole; News and Links

January 20th: Payet gets a brick full of wrath, Fonte a Hammer, and an epic football proposal after bicycle kick.

Good morning Hammer nation! Fresh off the papers, it looks as if a disgruntled fan has thrown a brick at Dimitri Payet’s car outside his home. It’s certainly going a bit too far for a man who is really just trying to get home to his family.

To further the Payet embarrassment, Pedro Obiang, who is the main administrator on the team’s WhatsApp group, kicked the Frenchman out.

Slaven Bilic has made it clear he’s perfectly content leaving Dimitri to practice with the U-23s for the remainder of the Frenchman’s contract.

Last West Ham order of the day and probably the most important: Jose Fonte should be headed to East London after a physical later on today, for a transfer fee for roughly £8 million. Good signing or too old and too much money?
