It only took a few hours for West Ham United to get busy. The Hammers wasted no time getting into the dirty business of January by loaning out 21 year old Jaanai Gordon to Newport County AFC. Newport sit on the very bottom of League Two football at the moment and are desperate to change their fortune. After his successful loan spell at Chelmsford, Nuneaton, and Sligo Rovers, Newport hope Gordon will be that spark.

Jaanai joined West Ham United in 2014 after a successful run at Peterborough where the 19 year old showed some promise. Since then, he has failed to make an appearance with the first team and has been loaned out quite a few times.
Jaanai’s new boss was full of confidence when asked. Newport manager Graham Westley told the club’s website:
Brace The Hammer wishes Jaanai Gordon all the best and loads of success!
