Goal.com is reporting Daniel Sturridge has a new evaluation of £25 million for his employ. Great news for West Ham fans as earlier this week rumblings out of Liverpool put Daniel at £40 million. Regardless of transfer fee, Jurgen Klopp has made it abundantly clear that he is willing to let the England international go for the right price.

With Simone Zaza rumored to be heading back to Italy, this would present West Ham with a few financial options moving forward. Zaza’s father revealed the 14 match clause put into Simone’s loan deal that would force West Ham to haul over £20 million if met. After 10 appearances, fans and management seem to be in agreement that Simone Zaza is not the answer this club is looking for.

But is Daniel Sturridge?

When healthy, Daniel owns a half a goal per game ratio, and is one of the best proven finishers in the English Premier League. So why is he riding Klopp’s bench? The best answer we can offer is the stellar performance of Roberto Firmino who is currently a man on fire. Let’s remind everyone how good this man can be:

West Ham is reportedly leading the charge for the striker, with Stoke City close behind. With seven matches to go before January 1st, it is imperative West Ham keep the wheels on the wagon. While they face three tough fixtures ahead against Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool - they also get Burnley, Hull, and Swansea right after. If West Ham can find 10 points in the next 6 matches it would go a long way to making themselves more attractive to Daniel Sturridge.

Something tells me Dimitri Payet would be okay with the move.
