The football Gods have blessed Winston Reid’s weak foot today. With seemingly nothing left in the tank we were headed towards the inevitable 0-0 draw. And then... Winston Reid somehow managed to navigate the ball through 6 defenders and a diving Jordan Pickford. Excitement came and went throughout the match with numerous chances from the Hammers.

Sunderland fans will be sure to shout how West Ham poached the three points today but the Hammers were clearly the better side all day. They weren’t clinical in the finish but they had possession, created chances, and were defensively stalwart.

David Moyes will have to keep waiting for his first victory. Until then, West Ham has picked up another three points and has moved up the table, 3 points clear of Hull in relegation.

Now let’s watch that beauty over and over again!
